Project Management:

Office managers are often tasked with project managing office moves, refurbishments, upgrades, minor building works, etc.

By selecting competent contractors who are specialist in their field they will be able to advise on what permissions, approvals and regulations may apply.

Planning Permission:

Planning permission may be required if you intend to work or run a business from home, change the use of a building, alter or extend and existing building or erect a new building. For further information contact the Planning Department at your local Council.

Building Regulations

Building regulation approval may be required when carrying out any form of development. For further information contact Building Control at your local Council.

License To Alter:

A license to alter may be required when carrying out any form of development in a leased building. For further information contact your Landlord or Managing Agent.

The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations:

The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM) may apply if the construction phase will be longer than 30 days or involve more than 500 person days of construction. For further information contact your local office at the Health & Safety Executive.
