Printed
notices stating what to do in the event of discovering a fire or hearing
the fire alarm should be posted in conspicuous positions around the
building (placing a copy on the notice boards).
Example
notice;
If
you discover a fire
Sound
the alarm immediately.
Dial
999 to call the fire brigade.
If
possible tackle the fire using the appliances provided but do not
endanger yourself or others doing so.
If
you hear the fire alarm
Leave
the building by the nearest exit.
Close
all doors behind you.
Report
to the person in charge at the assembly point for roll call.
DO
NOT STOP TO COLLECT PERSONAL BELONGINGS.
DO
NOT USE THE LIFT.
NEVER
REENTER THE BUILDING UNLESS AUTHORISED TO DO SO.
DO
NOT TAKE RISKS.
